The World Mission Society Church of God believes in Ahnsahnghong, a Korean, as the Savior of this age. The WMSCOG also believes in Heavenly Mother. Does the Bible really testify to Christ Ahnsahnghong & God the Mother?
Some people proudly say they have read the Bible ten times or twenty times or more times. If they do not know God properly, it’s worthless even if they have read the Bible more than one hundred times. God wants us to have the knowledge of God.
For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings (Hosea 6:6)
How can we have the knowledge of God? The Bible says that those who do not follow the commands of God do not know Him.
We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. (1 John 2:3)
Jesus established the new covenant Passover for our salvation and even said, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you (Luke 22:15)”.
This [The Passover wine] is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. (Matthew 26:28)
And Jesus kept the Sabbath as his custom and the disciples also kept it by following the example of Jesus (Luke 4:16; Acts 17:2; Acts 18:4.) The Sabbath is very important because it is a sign between God and God’s people and those who obey it know who God is. It’s a very special day to God.
Say to the Israelites, ‘You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy (Exodus 31:13)
Without keeping the Passover and the Sabbath, we cannot know God properly. Only those who observe God’s commandments such as the Passover and the Sabbath are entitled to be called God’s people. Unfortunately, most Christians think they know God very well and God also love them while following man-made rules such as Christmas and Sunday. However, you are wrong if you think so. Those who obey man-made teachings such as Christmas, Sunday, Easter and Thanksgiving Day worship God in vain.
These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men (Matthew 15:7-8)
Without obeying God’s commands, we cannot know God. The Apostle Paul wrote that the mystery of God is Christ (Colossians 2:2; Colossians 1:26-27.) All Christians might claim that they know Christ very well. But Paul said, “Christ is the mystery of God” and only those who follow the command of God can know Him (1 John 2:3.) In this age, we should believe in the Holy Spirit and the bride to get salvation. Do you know who are the Holy Spirit and the bride, the Savior of this age?
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. (Revelation 22:17)
It’s very natural that God’s people follow the words of God — the Bible. What if a church which claims to believe in God changed the laws of God? The Roman Catholic Church changed the laws of God; even the Ten Commandments. Why did they change the Ten Commandments written in the Bible? It’s because they wanted to hide their non-biblical acts: idolatry. God strictly forbade the act of idolatry through the second commandment: “Yfoou shall not make for yourself an idol.” But the Roman Catholic Church has introduced and worshiped idols within the Church. Also, the Roman Church abolished the feasts of God such as the Passover and the Sabbath day. Instead, they introduced Sunday and Christmas which originated from pagan customs to worship sun-god. The truth of the new covenant disappeared during the Dark Ages. Now, the World Mission Society Church of God (Witness of Ahnsahnghong) is performing the Last Religious Reformation to restore the new covenant established by Jesus. Read more…
Hundreds of years ago, many people really thought that witches lived in American towns. They believed in witchcraft because they did not understand science as we do today. They thought witches flied on brooms and had evil magic powers. Now, even kids know that it’s a lie and there is no witch flying brooms. Do you know many people believe perfect lies even today as people believed the existence of broomstick flying witches in the past? One of well-known lies is Christmas.
Christmas originated from pagan festivals which celebrated the birth of sun-god
Many people think that Jesus was born on December 25th. However, it’s not true: Jesus could not be born in winter.
While they were there, the time came for the baby [Jesus] to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night… (Luke 2:6-8)
Winter is the rainy season in Israel and it rains a lot and the temperature falls off. Therefore, people move their sheep into the sheep pen at least by October. So, it’s not possible to keep watching over the flocks of sheep in the fields in December.
Regarding the origins of Christmas, Encyclopedia Americana (Glolier Inc., 1996) says:
The date [of Christmas] was not set in the West until about the middle of the 4th century and in the East until about a century later… the day was chosen to correspond to pagan festivals that took place around the time of the winter solstice, when the days begin to lengthen, to celebrate the “rebirth of the sun.”
As you see, Christmas was not celebrated until the 4th century, long after Jesus’ Ascension. CHRISTMAS was first celebrated on various dates from about 200 A.D. but was finally set on December 25 by Bishop Liberus of Rome in 354 A.D.Christmas originated from pagan festivals to celebrate the “birth of sun-god : Mithra”. Some might say that it’s not so important because they celebrate the birth of Jesus not sun-god on December 25th although it originated from pagan customs. However, we must learn from Jeroboam of the Northern Kingdom of Israel who made golden calves by saying “Here are your gods” and celebrated a day of his own choosing as the festival of God (1 Kings 12:25-33.) Was God pleased with Jeroboam? (No.) Those who celebrate the birth of Jesus on December 25th are not different from Jeroboam who committed idolatry by celebrating a day of his own choosing.
Sunday is also not based on the Bible
Another well-known lie is the Sunday service. Sunday is also not based on the Bible: it originated from pagan religions. Many people think that the worship day changed from the Sabbath to Sunday. However, it’s not true. Jesus kept the Sabbath day as was his custom and the disciples and apostles also observed this day by following the example of Jesus. Even the church that worships on Sunday acknowledged that Sunday was not based on the Bible.
“The Faith of Our Fathers” says as follows:
But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday [the Sabbath]…
You will not find a single line about the Sunday Service. Instead, the Bible commands us to keep the Sabbath day [Saturday]. It’s also written in the book titled “The Faith of Millions“:
But since Saturday, not Sunday, is specified in the Bible, isn’t it curious that non-Catholics who profess to take their religion directly from the Bible and not from the Church [the Roman Catholic Church], observe Sunday instead of Saturday? Yes, of course, it is inconsistent; but this change was made about fifteen centuries before Protestantism was born, and by that time the custom was universally observed. They have continued the custom, even though it rests upon the authority of the Catholic Church and not upon an explicit text in the Bible…
The Sabbath day disappeared completely since 321 AD. The Roman Catholic Church changed the worship day to Sunday. The author of “The Faith of Millions” indicates that Sunday was introduced by the authority of the Roman Catholic Church. So, the Roman Catholics even changed the Ten Commandments by its authority. However, it’s not allowed to change the Law of God. We should seek and follow the teachings of Jesus as written in the Bible.
True and Lies
People have been deceived by Satan for a long time. Sunday and Christmas are mere man-made teachings and not based on the Bible. Jesus warned us not to follow man-made teachings.
You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.'” (Matthew 15:7-9)
Those who follow the rules taught by men such as Christmas, Sunday, Eater and Thanksgiving Day worship God in vain. Rather, we should observe God’s Law. The new covenant including the Passover and the Sabbath is what Jesus commanded us to obey.
Many Christians often say they preach the gospel. However, the core of the heavenly gospel that Jesus preached is the Passover. The Sabbath day is a sign between God and God’s people, and Jesus also kept the Sabbath as was his custom and the disciples kept it by following the example of Jesus. Without keeping the Sabbath, we cannot become God’s children (Exodus 31:13.) The World Mission Society Church of God (Witness of Ahnsahnghong) delivers the same teachings as the Early Church. Today, only the Church of God obeys the new covenant by following the example of Jesus. Please come to the World Mission Society Church of God and keep the Passover (Matt 26:17) and the Sabbath day (Luke 4:16) to receive the blessings of God.
Most Christians keep Sunday as the Lord’s Day. Is the Lord’s Day as Sunday biblical? About the Lord’s Day, Wikipedia says:
“Lord’s Day in Christianity is generally Sunday, the day of communal worship. It is observed by most Christians as the weekly memorial of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” …”Lord’s Day” is the English translation of the koine Greek kyriake hemera, a term that appears in Revelation 1:10.
First, let’s see whether the Lord’s Day, which appears in Revelation 1:10, is Sunday or not.
In the New Testament, the Lord is Jesus. When is the Day of Jesus?
For the Son of Man [Jesus] is Lord of the Sabbath. (Matthew 12:8)
The Lord’s Day is the Sabbath. The Sabbath is the seventh day of the week or Saturday. (Please refer to the above video.) Sunday is the first day of the week and it originated from a pagan custom: the worship of sun-god. Therefore, the Lord’s Day is not Sunday, but Saturday in our current calendar system.
Next, let’s find out whether the insistent that the Lord’s Day is celebrated as the weekly memorial of the resurrection of Jesus Christ is biblical or not. The Resurrection Day is an annual feast, but the Sabbath is a weekly feast. And the Resurrection Day is day for celebrating the resurrection of Jesus, but the Sabbath is a day for celebrating the creation work of God. Therefore, the Lord’s Day or the Sabbath has nothing to do with the Resurrection Day. They claim that they worship on Sunday because the Sabbath was changed from Saturday to Sunday after Jesus’ Resurrection. They do not know the meaning of the Resurrection Day and the Sabbath. And they do not know the fulfillment of the feasts. The Resurrection Day is the fulfillment of the Day of Firstfruits of the Old Testament (see this web-page.) Their claim is neither biblical nor logical. For example, is it acceptable if I celebrate my father’s birthday every Sunday because he was born on Sunday? Birthday is to be celebrated once a year, not once a week. Likewise, the Resurrection Day is to be celebrated once a year, but the Sabbath is to be observed once a week. (Please note that Paul, an apostle who appeared after Jesus was resurrected, also kept the Sabbath day, as was his custom (Acts 17:2.) Therefore, the argument that the Sabbath was changed from Saturday to Sunday after Jesus’ Resurrection is not true.)
The Sabbath is a sign between God and God’s people (Exodus 31:13.) Those who observe the Sabbath are recognized as the people of God. Since Jesus said that He was the Lord of the Sabbath, it’s clear that Jesus is NOT the Lord of those who keep Sunday as the Lord’s Day. Then, who is the Lord of those who worship on Sunday? We need to think about it carefully.
Sunday, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving Day, etc. are mere man-made rules and are not based on the Bible. Can we enter the kingdom of heaven if we keep such man-made teachings?
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers [you workers of lawlessness — ESV]!’ (Matthew 7:21-23)
God’s people should follow the law of God. However, those who observe man-made rules are lawless in the eyes of God. Jesus kept the Sabbath, as was his custom (Luke 4:16.) The disciples and apostles also observed the Sabbath (Acts 17:2; 18:4) even after Jesus’ Resurrection. Jesus established the Passover of the New Covenant and promised the forgiveness of sins to those who keep the Passover (Matthew 26:17-28.) And He even said, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover.” According to the example of Jesus, the disciples also celebrated the Passover (1 Corinthians 5:7-8; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.)
God commanded us to remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy (Exodus 20:8.) And He even designated it as a sign between God and God’s people.
You must observe my Sabbaths. This [Sabbath] will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy… (Exodus 31:13)
We can understand how important the Sabbath day is. Without keeping the Sabbath, we cannot know God who makes us holy. Then, which day is the Sabbath: Sunday or Saturday? The above movie reveals that the Sabbath is Saturday, not Sunday.
Some say that they worship on Sunday because the Lord’s Day is Sunday.
On the Lord’s Day I was in the Spirit, and I heard… (Revelation 1:10)
Then, the Lord’s Day is Sunday? In the time of the Old Testament, the Lord is Jehovah. In Exodus 31:13, the Lord said, “You must keep my Sabbaths.” So, the Lord’s Day in the Old Testament was the Sabbath or Saturday. Then, how about in the time of the New Testament? In the time of the New Testament, the Lord is Jesus.
For the Son of Man [Jesus] is Lord of the Sabbath. (Matthew 12:8)
It’s obvious that the Lord’s Day is the Sabbath or Saturday. (However, many people misunderstand that the Lord’s Day is Sunday, but the biblical Lord’s Day is the Sabbath or Saturday.) Jesus kept the Sabbath as His custom (Luke 4:16) and the Apostle Paul also kept it as his custom (Acts 17:2, 18:4.) Even, a Catholic book wrote as follows:
“But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday…” (The Faith of Our Father, pp. 72-73)
If we do not keep God’s feasts such as the Sabbath day and the Passover, we do not know God who makes us holy. Sunday service was introduced to the churches in 321 AD, long after the Ascension of Jesus and the death of the Apostles and Disciples. Therefore, it’s natural that the record about Sunday is not found in the Bible.
Some insist that the Sabbath was changed to Sunday after Christ’s Crucifixion. However, the Apostle Paul, who appeared after Jesus’ Crucifixion, also kept the Sabbath as his custom (Acts 17:2.) So their argument is neither biblical nor true.
Sunday service is a mere man-made rule, not a feast of God. What is God’s will: Sunday service or the Sabbath day? If we follow man-made rules, our worship will be in vain.
They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men. (Matthew 15:9)
Easter is a chief Christian feast, commemorating the resurrection of Jesus. However, not many know that Easter is not based on the Bible. According to Britannica Online Encyclopedia, “The English word Easter … is of uncertain origin. One view, expounded by the Venerable Bede in the 8th century, was that it derived from Eostre, or Eostrae, the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring and fertility…” In other words, “Easter” is related to the pagan goddess of spring and fertility. Moreover, the date of Easter is not calculated according to the Bible. It is celebrated on the Sunday following the full moon next after the vernal equinox. The following YouTube video reveals the origin of Easter.
Easter eggs were also derived from pagan customs. Easter is not based on the Bible and it’s just a man-made feast. It’s not God’s will to follow man-made rules such as Easter, Christmas and Sunday service. Then, what should we celebrate? We ought to celebrate God’s feasts such as the Passover of the New Covenant. Jesus said, “I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house” (Matthew 26:17-) and also said, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer…” (Luke 22:15). He established the Passover for the forgiveness of sins.
This [Passover wine] is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins (Matthew 26:28)
All people around the world beyond countries and religions celebrate the birth of Jesus on December 25 every year. However, it’s well-known that Jesus was not born on Christmas. Christmas, which is not based on the Bible, is just a man-made rule. Is it possible to be saved if we keep the rules of men? No, not at all.
From the above YouTube video, you can understand that Christmas originated from a pagan festival for celebrating the birth of sun-god.
According to the Bible, Jesus could not be born in Winter:
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night… Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord (Luke 2:8-11)
From the verse “keeping watch over their flocks at night,” it’s easily understood that Jesus could not be born in Winter.
According to Encyclopaedia Britannica published by Encyclopaedia Britannica, Inc, “Christmas on Dec. 25 is first known to have been celebrated in Rome in the second quarter of the 4th century… was the date of pagan festival in Rome… which at the winter solstice begins again to show an increase of light (please refer to this webpage)”.
Then, is it acceptable to celebrate Christmas on December 25?
Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven [God] … Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers(you who practice lawlessness; NKJV)!’ (Matthew 7:21-23)
The Bible clearly says that evildoers who practice lawlessness cannot enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of God can enter. In other words, we can be saved only if we keep the Law of God, not man-made rules. Christmas is merely a man-made rule, not the law of God. If you celebrate Christmas on December 25, you are celebrating the birth of a pagan god (sun-god), not true God, and your worship will be in vain.
‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men [man-made rules].’ (Matthew 15:7-9)
We cannot be saved only if we honor God with our lips; action is also needed along with faith. That is to say, we must keep the Law of God such as the Passover of the New Covenant and the Sabbath. It’s time to look back on yourself and check whether you are following the will of God or not… before it’s too late.
Today, most churches erect crosses and insist that the cross is just a symbol of the church, not an idol. However, God forbade not to make any image with respect to religion; Can the cross be an exception from “any image”?
The following video reveals that the cross is mere an idol God forbade, and it had been used in the pagan religions before the cross was penetrated into the church.
God commanded us even not to make or set up an idol:
You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything … You shall not bow down to them or worship them … (Exodus 20:4)
Cursed is the man who carves an image or casts an idol–a thing detestable to the LORD, the work of the craftsman’s hands–and sets it up in secret (Deuteronomy 27:15)
Though people say that the cross is mere a symbol of the church and they do not worship it, God commanded not to make or set up an idol. It’s because people tend to rely on and have faith on the cross even though they had not intention at first. So these days, many Christians wear a cross on their necks or wrists, or carry a cross in their cars like a talisman to comfort themselves. We must remember the work of the Swiss Reformers: they considered the cross as an idol and removed crosses:
In the following year the magistracy melted, sold, or gave away the rich treasures of the Great Minister and the Frauen-minster, — chalices, crucifixes, and crosses of gold and silver, precious relies… (From “History of the Christian Church, Vol. VII: The Swiss Reformation” by Philip Schaff, Charles Scribner’s Sons (1892))
The cross was originated from ancient Babylon and had been widely used in the pagan religions. It’s written in “Baker’s Dictionary of Theology”:
The use of the cross as form of punishment was adopted by Greeks and Romans from the Phoenicians, Persians and Carthaginians… The public use of the cross was adopted by the Christians as a symbol at the time of Constantine. For the early Christians, surrounded by crucifixion as a grim fact of common experience, there was no danger of beautifying the cross by sentiment (From “Baker’s Dictionary of Theology”, on page 152)
The cross was a tool for executing felons at that time and the Early Church saints hated the cross. The cross was introduced into the church in the process of secularization of the church. It’s obvious that crosses were not used in the time of the Early Church. The idolatry is a thing detestable to God and those who worship idols including the cross will be cursed.
We must remember the work of King Hezekiah of the Old Testament times, who broke the bronze snake into pieced and called it “Nehushtan” or “a piece of bronze”. The Israelites worshiped the bronze snake for about 800 years since the day of Moses. But in the eyes of Hezekiah who performed the religious reformation by keeping the Passover (2 Kings 18:1-12; 2 Chronicles 30:1-9; 2 Chronicles 31:1), the bronze snake was merely an idol. Also, we must have such faith and get rid of all idols including the cross which is merely “a piece of tree or iron”.
