Some insist that there is not God the Mother because the wife [bride] in the Bible refers to the saints by citing the following verses:
I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. (2 Corinthians 11:2)
For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. (Ephesians 5:23)
It’s true that the wife in the above verses refer to the saints. Then, does the word “wife” in all cases mean only “the saints”? If their argument is correct, who are “those who are invited” in Revelation 19:9?
Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb [Jesus] has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.” (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints.) Then the angel said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!'” And he added, “These are the true words of God.” (Revelation 19:7-9)
Besides the bride, there are those who are invited to the wedding banquet. They are the saints who will be saved. So, the Apostle John wrote, “Let us rejoice” because those who are invited to the wedding banquet can be saved.
Those who oppose the existence of God the Mother misunderstood the Bible. One word can be used in two or more meanings in the context in the Bible. For example, the word “lamb” can be used as the saints (John 10:10), but sometimes as Christ who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29.) If someone claims that the lamb refers to the saints only, John 1:29 cannot be understood properly.
The Apostle John wrote that the bride, the wife of the Lamb is the Heavenly Jerusalem (Revelation 21:9-10.) And the Apostle Paul witnessed that the Heavenly Jerusalem is our Mother.
But the Jerusalem that is above [in heaven] is free, and she is our mother. (Galatians 4:26)
Whom does the word “our” from “our mother” above refer to? (The saints who will be saved.) Paul also witnessed that the saints (who are referred to as “our”) and “mother” are different. To the saints who are to be saved, there is God the Mother. And in the last page of the Bible, the bride is to give us the water of life:
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. (Revelation 22:17)
If the bride refers to the saints, weren’t there the saints 2,000 years ago? Only God has the authority go give us the water of life or eternal life. Revelation 22:17 is a prophecy which will be fulfilled in this age. The World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother as the Savior of this age. People tend to accept something familiar, but deny something unfamiliar. Although many people have a fixed idea that there is only God the Father, the existence of God the Mother is testified from the first book “Genesis.” In this age, we should believe in God the Mother to receive the water of life. Please look into the Bible and receive God the Mother who is the spring of the living water.
