The NCPCOG and opposers claim that it’s wrong to pray in the name of Christ Ahnsahnghong because He came as a prophet, and so we must pray in the name Jesus even now.
1. There is the name of the Holy Spirit in the Bible
Jesus let us know there are the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:18.) And it’s prophesied that there is the new name of Jesus (Revelation 3:12; 2:17.) The new name of Jesus is the name of the Holy Spirit. Jesus cannot be the new name of Jesus because it should be another name. (Please refer to this page for the New Name.)
2. Christ Ahnsahnghong is the Savior of the Holy Spirit although He came as a prophet
Jesus also came as a prophet like Moses (Act 3:22), but He was the Christ. In the same way, although Christ Ahnsahnghong came as the prophet Elijah, He is the Savior who fulfilled all prophecies regarding the Second Coming Christ including the prophecy of the fig tree, the prophecy of King David’s throne, the prophecy of the order of Melchizedek, and others.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it. (Revelation 2:17)
The stone in the New Testament refers to Jesus (1 Peter 2:4-8.) Therefore, there is the New Name of Jesus, which is known only to those who receive it. And He would bring us the hidden manna, which is the Passover (John 6:30-35; 6:53-54; Matthew 26:17-28.) Only Christ Ahnsahnghong restored the Passover, which had been hidden for more than 1,600 years. (Please refer to this page for more about Christ Ahnsahnghong.)
3. The Bible teaches that there is time limitation
I, even I, and the Lord [Jehovah], and apart from me there is no savior. (Isaiah 43:11)
Jesus is … Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:11-12)
In the book of Isaiah, it’s written, “there is no savior apart from Jehovah” (Isaiah 43:11.) And in the book of Acts, it’s written, “there is no other name given to men by which we must be saved except Jesus” (Acts 4:11-12.) From these two verses, we can understand that there is time limitation of the name of the Savior of each age. That is, the name of the Savior was Jehovah in the age of the Father, while the name of the Savior was Jesus in age of the Son. Therefore, Jesus said, “Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. [From now on] Ask and you will receive (John 16:24.)” Until then, in whose name did the disciples pray? They prayed in the name of Jehovah until then. But since then, they had to pray in the name of Jesus because the age changed from the age of the Father to the age of the Son. Now we are living in the age of the Holy Spirit and it’s natural that we must pray in the name of the Savior of the this age. (Please refer to this page for details on this topic.)
Therefore, their claim is non-Biblical and we must pray in the name of the Holy Spirit in this Holy Spirit Age. Then, how can we know Christ Ahnsahnghong is the Savior of this age? Since the Bible testifies about the Savior (John 5:39), we must look at the Bible to understand why Christ Ahnsahnghong is the Savior.
