The prophet Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah would come from the east.

From the east I summon a bird of prey [eagle]; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that will I bring about; what I have planned, that will I do. (Isaiah 46:11)

Some people who deny Christ Ahnsahnghong claim that “a bird of prey” stands for Cyrus, not Christ Ahnsahnghong. The prophecy of Isaiah 46:11 was partially accomplished by King Cyrus of Persia, but the main fulfillment was done by Christ Ahnsahnghong.

Who has stirred up one from the east [Who has raised from the east], calling him in righteousness to his service? He hands nations over to him and subdues kings before him. He turns them to dust with his sword, to windblown chaff with his bow…”… “The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the LORD will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs. (Isaiah 41:2-18)

The above Verses describes what will happen when God raises up a man from the east. If the one God raised up appears, rivers will flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. This can be done only by God, who is the source of life (Cf: Isaiah 35:4-6 and Matthew 11:2-5.) Therefore, a bird of prey, from the east, stands for King Cyrus partially, but for the Messiah mainly who will come from east.

King Cyrus, from the east (Persia), represents the Messiah who will come from east: Christ Ahnsahnghong. Then, why Christ Ahnsahnghong is represented by King Cyrus? Just as Cyrus freed the Jews from Babylon, so the spiritual Cyrus, Christ Ahnsahnghong, freed the spiritual Jews [God’s people] from the spiritual Babylon. Let’s see the prophecy that the spiritual Cyrus would free the people of God from the spiritual Babylon:

After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven. He had great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor [through the Passover]. With a mighty voice he shouted: “Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great! She has become a home for demons and a haunt for every evil spirit, a haunt for every unclean and detestable bird. (Revelation 18:1-2)

Into this dark earth where no light of truth is found, Christ Ahnsahnghong brought the Passover. And the earth was illuminated by His splendor. Whenever people keep the Passover, their spiritual eyes are open and can see a home for demons and a haunt for evil spirit. When King Josiah kept the Passover, he destroyed all idols within the temple (2 Kings 23:21-25.) And when King Hezekiah kept the Passover, he also removed all idols (2 Chronicles 30:1-2, 31:1.)

Josiah had faith in God, but worshiped idols for about 18 years. He could not realize the idols within the temple until he celebrated the Passover. Likewise, we also cannot discern the idols within churches until we keep the Passover. Today, many people believe in God, but do not realize the idols within the churches. Sunday service, derived from a day for celebrating a pagan god: sun-god, is not based on the Bible. Christmas was the day of a pagan festival in Rome for celebrating the birthday of a pagan god: sun-god. They are mere man-made rules. We cannot be saved by keeping man-made rules. Instead, we should follow the laws of God such as the Passover, the Sabbath day. Today, only the World Mission Society Church of God observes the Passover of the New Covenant according to the teachings of Jesus. Please believe in Christ Ahnsahnghong and keep the Passover which contains the promise of the forgiveness of sins (Matthew 26:28.)
