The Bible says that the Spirit and the bride will give us the water of life in these last days (Revelation 22:17.) The Spirit is God the Father according to the Trinity. Then, who is the bride who will give us the water of life or eternal life along with God the Father? Some say “the bride is the saints”  because the saints receive the water of life from God and deliver it to people.

We need to consider the followings:

1. A word can have more than one meaning in the Bible. For example, the word “Shepherd” generally refers to Jesus and the word “Sheep” or Lamb” means “Saints” in the Bible. However, the word “Lamb” can also represent Jesus. If someone insists that the word “Lamb”means only “Jesus” in the Bible, he cannot understand some verses such as Luke 10:3 and John 21:15. What does this mean? The interpretation should be done in the context.

2. The word “Bride” means the saints in some verses. However, the word “Bride” in the Revelation 22:17 is not the saints, but God the Mother. Who has an authority to give the water of life? Only God can give us the water of life.

They have forsaken me [Jehovah], the spring of living water… (Jeremiah 2:13)

Indeed, the water I [Jesus] give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life. (John 4:14)

In the age of the Father, Jehovah, God the Father, gave the Israelites the water of life, and in the age of the Son, Jesus, God the Son, gave the people of God the water of life. Now we are living in the age of the Holy Spirit. The Bible prophesied that the Spirit and the bride would give us the water of life.

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” … let him take the free gift of the water of life. (Revelation 22:17)

We can understand that the bride, who gives us the water of life along with the Spirit [God the Father], is also God. The Bible testifies that the bride is Heavenly Jerusalem (Revelation 21:9-10) and Heavenly Jerusalem is our Mother (Galatians 4:26.)

It’s true that we, the saints, receive the water of life from God. But can it be said that we give the water of life to other saints? In the time of Moses, God commanded Moses to strike the rock with his staff to bring water out of the rock. However, Moses did not show God’s holiness in front of the Israelites by saying “Must we bring you water out of this rock?” Because of this word, Moses could not enter Canaan.

He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the rock and Moses said to them, “Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?” … But the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites [you did not trust Me to show My holiness in the sight of the Israelites], you will not bring this community into the land I give them.” (Numbers 20:10-12)

We must remember that salvation comes from God (Psalms 3:8.) We are mere sinners who must seek the water of life from God. The Bible says that the source of living water is God the Mother consistently (see this web-page for the source of living water.)

To save mankind, God the Father Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother came to the earth according to the prophecy of the Bible. Please come to the World Mission Society Church of God to meet Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother who give us the water of life.
