The World Mission Society Church of God believes in Ahnsahnghong, a Korean, as the Savior of this age. The WMSCOG also believes in Heavenly Mother. Does the Bible really testify to Christ Ahnsahnghong & God the Mother?
I recently met a woman who said, “The WMSCOG even made Ahnsahnghong a Second Coming Christ. However, he did not claim that he was the Christ, but the Prophet Elijah. It’s okay if you respect him as a teacher. You are all deceived by the Church.”
Let’s see why her claim is not true. If her argument is correct, people also must not believe in Jesus as the Christ.
For Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me [Moses] from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you. Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from among his people.’ “Indeed, all the prophets from Samuel on, as many as have spoken, have foretold these days. (Acts 3:22-24)
In Acts 3:22, the Apostle Peter testified that Jesus came as a prophet like Moses and those who would not listen to Him would be completely cut off from among God’s people. Then, was Jesus a mere prophet? No. He was the Christ although He came as a prophet like Moses. However, many people believed Jesus as a prophet, not the Christ.
When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” (Matthew 16:13-14)
Likewise, Christ Ahnsahnghong came as the Prophet Elijah, but He is the Second Coming Christ because He also fulfilled many other prophecies including the prophecy of King David, the order of Melchizedek, etc. Please see this webpage for a detailed explanation on this topic.
Then, why did Christ Ahnsahnghong come as the Prophet Elijah? We must know the role of Elijah.
2,000 years ago, John the Baptist came as Elijah and prepared the way for God. And Jesus said that he was the Prophet Elijah.
In those days John the Baptist came… This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: “A voice of one calling in the desert, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.'” (Matthew 3:1-3)
And if you are willing to accept it, he [John the Baptist] is the Elijah who was to come. (Matthew 11:14)
It’s also prophesied that the Prophet Elijah would come again before the dreadful day of the Lord (Malachi 4:5.) According to this prophecy, Christ Ahnsahnghong, although He is the Christ, came as the Prophet Elijah and fulfilled the ministry of Elijah by letting us know the source of the water life: God the Mother.
You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he [God the Father] establishes Jerusalem [God the Mother] and makes her the praise of the earth. (Isaiah 62:6-7)
